To Search, or not to Search (assign. 11)
So i typed in "USS Yorktown NT" into the search window's of google.com, bing.com, yahoo.com and google.cn and got about the same results in articles on all of them. The next search term was "china censorship", it produced similar results in all the web browsers as well, and if google.cn is censoring its search engine, then so is google.com because i saw just about the same stuff on the 1st page. The next term i used was "Tiananmen Square", it produced my first different web search, all search engines talked first about the Tiananmen Square protests of '89 except google.cn, they only talked about Tiananmen Square as a tourist attraction and nice place to visit. Interesting to see how a search done in America brings up only that one event 20 years ago. The last search i did was "Taiwan Independence", this search lead me too google.cn, with the other searches producing the same results on support and/or neutrality for Taiwan Independence, google.cn talks about things like traitorism and how to prevent Independence. Its such a stark contrast to see how China views its neighbors and allies. I am glad i live in America...

Mmmmm...Delicious
Here are some of my sites on Delicious.com
Flicker photos...
Hawaiian sunrise (tag's - Hawaiian sunrise)
Pumpkin Bigger than a Person (tags - Pumpkin gigantic)
5 or Less (tags - Bushel and a peck)
Digg.com - The ninja cat, at the time of writing this was the 5th most digg'd thing in 365 days. Its up there with Obama and the death of Micheal Jackson, how did some stupid cat video beat out presidential articles and such. I just don't know, goes to show what people are really into with there free time. Forget about it, i want ninja cat for president... what does that say to other countries who search with this that some crappy YouTube vid (ninja cat) is what we think is top's around here. So how does this affect social bookmarking, it lets us see what most people are into at any given time, the good and the bad. There are no checks and balances... Its a mad house. So should we not do social bookmarking, i think that it works for the better, once and a while we end up with a gem like this.... Go ninja cat!!!!

Google Wave (Assign. 8)
Google wave seems like a very fun way of taking plain old email and adding video, photo, chat and blogging and roll-it-all-up in a Ferrari body. I have no doubt behind the intent of the software, my concern is gonna be compatibility with the myriad of systems and browsers out there. If your using Chrome on pc then you'll be set. If your using anything else then your gonna be having some probs.

an amazing guy.
Shame, Shane, Shame (Assign. 3)
He took a picture of an open ATM with security guards putting money in it. How stupid do you have to be in this country? Do i think he should have been arrested because of it, no, BUT he was asking for it with statements like "especially fake cops who put money in box and get to play at being real cops". Unfortunately in today's age of digital information, anyone with and i-phone and some free time can get a shot of anything good or bad. You have to be careful with this new tech right now, Society is crazy with law suits and arrests over trivial things, more so than in the past. Shane, just be careful with your future photography career and don't take anymore pictures of machines with money in them. Good luck :)
Web 2.0 a second look (Assign. 2b)
After reading about web 2.0 on wiki, i would just like to add that web 2.0 is a fundamental shift in the way we put our individual information and information around us out for others to see. Its quicker and more accessible, you can use your i-phone to let the world know on twitter you just bought some Stones tickets. Unfortunately when everyone has the access to disseminate any info on any subject to anyone there is going to be blurring of the facts, this is what Andrew Keen says about web 2.0. I agree with some of what keen says, don't believe everything you read, especially with a source like wiki, go to multiple sites if you need to know something very important :)

Web 2.0 and what it means to me (Assign. 2a)
Web 2.0 is the new web, faster, better connected. People are able to see more of other people outside of there communities easier, sites like myspace, facebook and twitter are opening up people and ideas to the rest of the world in ways unimagined even 10 years ago. Everything is only going to get more integrated and user connected.
In the Begining
